Workington Railway Station is an 8 minute walk from the Carnegie Theatre. The Cumbrian Coast railway provides a regular service and joins Workington to the National Rail Network at Carlisle ( 50 mins ) and Barrow ( 100 mins ).
Workington Bus Station is a 3 minute walk from the Carnegie Theatre and Arts Centre. National Express Coaches provide a direct link to the National Coach Network, and a frequent service into Workington from Carlisle and Penrith ( railway station ) is available. Local bus services operate well into the evening.
Exit M6 Junction 40 (Penrith) and travel westbound on A66 for 40 miles straight into Workington. At the end of the A66, turn left at the traffic lights onto Washington Street. Turn right at the next set of lights (Washington Central Hotel), straight over a mini-roundabout and take the next sharp right onto Murray Road, one of the town's main shopping streets. At the end of Murray Road turn left onto Finkle Street. The Carnegie Theatre is now 150 yards on your left hand side.
The Carnegie Theatre and Arts Centre does not operate it's own Car Park. Onstreet parking is free after 6.00pm and on Sundays. A pay and display car park is situated to the rear of the Carnegie Arts Centre on Vulcans Lane ( 1 min ).
